From Humble Beginnings
I inherited the appreciation and desire to pursue art
from my mother and grandmother, talented painters
both, but were unable to find their way to becoming
fully fledged artists; something I would change.
The University of the Arts in Philadelphia helped me
master drawing, painting and sculpture while I
marveled at anatomy, the human form and the
language of symbolism.
Tattooing found its way to me in 1999 when I gained
an apprenticeship in Albany, New York, and began
tattooing on my own in 2001.
Tattooing gave me a chance to not only make the
images and paintings that I’m compelled to create,
but to connect and help people that are searching for
something that suits them, be it beautiful or
meaningful, usually both.
Helping people has made me a specialist in cover-up
tattoos, bending my skills and art to change
unwanted markings into something my clients can be
proud to show-off once again.
It goes without saying that I am an ultimate nerd and
revel in making fantasy, geek, nerd-core and gamer
tattoos. My inspirations come from all over the
fantasy landscape: from Watership Down to Ready
Player One, Frank Frazetta to Norman Rockwell.
With 17 years experience under my belt, I'm taking my
work on the road to find new people and experiences.
